    ABOUT HOOSIER
Our mission is to be the dominant, customer driven, provider of racing tires to racing teams domestically and internationally.
Our Corporation's existence and continued success are dependent upon how well we meet our responsibilities to serve our customers by providing safe quality products to amateur and professional motorsports.

    HERITAGE

The history of Hoosier Racing Tire is one of an American Dream come true for two young, Indiana entrepreneurs who turned a personal vision into a reality.

It began in the early 1950's when Bob Newton, along with his supportive wife Joyce, began a successful racing career on the small asphalt tracks of northern Indiana. Bob, like many of his fellow drivers, was not satisfied with driving on street tires with their limited sizing options and hard tread compounds. It was during these early days that Bob had a vision to produce his own tires specifically designed for racing.

In 1957, Bob and Joyce decided to begin producing their own race tires by re-treading street tires with softer compounds. They began their business in an old abandoned horse barn in South Bend, Indiana, selling their tires to local racers. The Hoosier name was chosen for their company to reflect the origin of Bob's racing roots on the short tracks of the Midwest.

The purple color that embodies the Hoosier Tire brand today came from the color of Bob’s first race car.

In 1988 Hoosier Tire tackled a huge milestone entering the NASCAR Winston Cup Series (currently Monster Energy). In the first year, Hoosier went on to capture nine victories while getting their marquee win at the Dayona 500 in 1989.

In 1992 Hoosier took another bold step and decided to build its second tire plant in preparation for the company's return to NASCAR's Winston Cup series. This tire plant was solely devoted to the manufacture of tubeless radial race tires to run on tracks at speeds in excess of 200 mph.

The turn of the century also saw Hoosier Tire complete a massive multi-year plant consolidation and upgrade program which brought all operations together into one sprawling complex.

On October 4, 2016 Hoosier Racing Tire was purchased by Continental Tire.

Today, Hoosier Racing Tire is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world. Hoosier has grown to produce over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully-integrated production facilities recently adding a high-tech mixing plant, with enough capacity to produce not only for Hoosier Racing Tire, but to have the ability to produce rubber for additional entities as well as a model sales and distribution network.

With hundreds of race winners crowned annually we truly are "Tires Designed for Champions."

Hoosier Racing Tire has been the  Official Tire of the King of the Wing National Sprintcar Series since the series was established in 2014.

    THE BEGINNING.

Competition Suspension was founded in 2009. We saw a big gap in the industry. The level of technology in Indy Car and Nascar was far advanced from what short track teams were receiving. We set out to build reasonably priced quality shocks, utilizing the same technologies we were use to working with in the upper levels of motorsports. We built our first set of CSI Shocks for Nic Faas in April of 2009, he won his first race out. Since that time our philosophy has never changed. Build the best shocks in the industry; we don’t cut corners on anything. Since our inception CSI has become the shock of choice for many of todays top professionals. We have won over 5,000 races and many, track, regional and National Championships around the world.

    THE PRESENT.

We are located just west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana. CSI is housed in 4,500 square foot facility surrounded by professional race team. We’ve added a few key employees and some new technologies to help with the growing demand for our products. Some great new products are in development for the 2019 season. We remain 100% focused on the quality of our products and the success of our customer’s race programs. This company was founded on a few simple principals; to build highest quality suspension components, and back that up with industry leading customer service and support. Throughout our tremendous growth over the past seven years we haven’t lost sight of those principals.

    THE FUTURE.

The passion is what drives each one of us at CSI. Perfection is something we strive for each and every day. We’re constantly pushing the envelope as we dig deeper into new technologies to improve the overall performance of our shocks and components. We’re traveling to more races throughout the country than ever before. We continue to stay on top of the ever changing trends, and assist our customers. In 2019 were committed to the ongoing development of our product line in our core markets, and bringing our customers the most value for their hard earned dollars.

    mpi

MPI stands for MAX PAPIS INNOVATIONS and was founded in 2009 by Max Papis and Tatiana Fittipaldi Papis, in Mooresville, NC. Max and Tatiana have a long background in racing. Max has been a professional race car driver since he was 12 years old. Since then he has raced in Formula 1, ChampCar, IndyCar, IMSA, Grand-Am, IROC, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, being the european driver with most NASCAR start in history.

In MPI we take every aspect of construction and safety to our heart, in the most accurate and dedicated way possible. Before becoming an MPI product, our structures need to pass our internal quality control tests. Amongst the many, one is a torque structural steering wheel test that is considered one of the most severe on the “road car” market. Another is a stress test to see what our steering wheel does when load is applied to it. This simulates what happens when you keep your hands on the steering wheel during a severe impact. These are just a couple of examples of how our technology works and how safety and construction R&D is paramount to all MPI products.

During Max’s long racing career, he collaborated with several top steering wheel manufacturers where passion and knowledge about the business grew. Max’s goal has been to apply his experience and knowledge to produce a state of the art product for the racing community.

Tatiana was born into racing with parents Emerson and Maria Helena Fittipaldi. She has a bachelor degree in Advertising and Psychology and a minor in Marketing, from the University of Miami. She is a proud member of the North Carolina Motorsports Advisory Council under Governor Pat McCrory. Max, Tatiana, and their 2 sons, Marco and Matteo, live in Statesville, NC.
